Biden told Anderson Cooper he would defend Taiwan militarily from China. After the town hall meeting ended Business Insider reported; “The US defense relationship with Taiwan is guided by the Taiwan Relations Act,” the spokesperson told reporters.
Who is the unnamed spokesperson? In effect, the spokesperson from the White House told the reporters Joe Biden wasn’t authorized to make the decision to defend Taiwan. From the Washington Examiner; “There has been no shift. The president was not announcing any change in our policy. Nor has he made a decision to change our policy,” press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters on Friday, adding, “There’s no change in our policy.”
Did Dictator Xi Jinping of China call the White House to set Biden straight about what he is authorized to say and what he may do? I can’t recall this happening during Obama’s or Trump’s presidencies. This occurrence with Biden’s past statements such as; “My staff told me to not take questions.” “If I answer that, I will get into trouble with my staff.” “My staff gave me a list of who to take questions from.”
Biden held his arms in a strange position during the town hall meeting which spurred the meme masters into action. I present my top three picks for your amusement.

I’d love to see Biden fire up a jet pack, leave the planet and never come back. A dream!pic.twitter.com/VWmmJU1ArJ

In closing, it’s my opinion that we have an unelected committee of presidents running the Executive Branch of our government. It is evident in the performance we are seeing from the White House.
