I have a perfect presidential voting record. My voting record started with Reagan. Every person who I voted for has been elected. President Trump is one of two men in my life so far that are the right person for their moment in time. Despite all of President Carter’s failures, he was our nation’s savior in one critical moment. Jimmy Carter had worked with Admiral Rickover to miniaturize nuclear reactors for the use in submarines.
When the Three Mile Island nuclear plant was on the verge of a melt-down, President Carter told the engineers to send him all their data. The engineers said it was hopeless and they were going to abandon the plant. President Carter looked over the date and flew to the plant. He told the engineers how to safely shut-down the reactor and ordered them to do so. Note; Jimmy Carter isn’t a nuclear scientist of any discipline. He’s just a mechanical engineer.
What Carter didn’t have to support his vast intellect is cunning. President Trump has that in spades. Carter viewed the world how it should be; Trump views the world as it is in the present.
China is the drug dealer for the United States
Most of the fentanyl in America originates outside the country’s borders. The Department of Homeland Security seized more than 5,000 pounds of fentanyl at U.S. ports of entry in the fiscal year 2018 — enough for about 1.2 billion lethal doses of the drug, or enough to kill every American citizen four times over.
This was sent from China! This is the use of a weapon of mass destruction.
I heard President Trump say that he doesn’t care about politics in an answer to a reporter’s question. He continued, I do what I have to do to protect the people of this nation. We are all in but a shooting war with China. I looked up the reported annual deaths from fentanyl overdoses and that figure is at 32,000 for 2018. I imagine President Trump’s additional 68,000 deaths is an educated estimation for the non-reports of our homeless population. San Francisco city saw a 150% increase of fentanyl overdose deaths in 2018.
China’s government knows who is making fentanyl in China. It is as if China is saying, do what we want, or we will kill more of your people. That is the very definition of war. You have something we want; if you don’t give us that, we will keep killing your citizens until you do. I can’t think of a single person that could have withstood the attacks that President Trump has been subjected to during his tenure in office and still do the right thing for our country. I don’t see how we can have a relationship with any country that is actively trying to kill our citizens for profit. If we were going to sign a trade agreement with China, China would have to cease its’ exports of fentanyl and pay reparations for the deaths they caused for profit.
I marvel at President Trump’s actions toward China because China is holding a trillion dollars worth of our government’s bonds. I thought the confrontation of China was impossible. That’s why he’s the president and you and I are not. Don’t expect a trade deal with China in any of President Trump’s term(s), do expect the slow process of divestiture from China’s manufacturing infrastructure by U.S. companies.
China is refusing to stop stealing intellectual property from the United States. Two companies are negotiating a contract and one is poisoning the others company’s employees and is stealing their paychecks. The CEO of the victim company would be criminally liable if there was a signing of a contract, in my opinion.
Why not move the manufacturing from in China to in Central America and in the United States?
